CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Beginners -- In our Beginners class, you’ll get plenty of instruction on the basics and foundations of yogic principles and poses. This class offers a repetitive, familiar format designed to help you get comfortable with the Vinyasa flow style of yoga. It’s a perfect stepping stone into higher level classes. And it’s a great refresher for those who want reinforcement of the foundational skills upon which more advanced poses are built. (Level 1)

Introduction to the Studio -- Welcome to our studio, and welcome to yoga! At this class, you’ll get a tour of the studio, and learn about the concepts and foundations of yoga. You’ll learn about what to expect in a typical class, get some tips and advice, and we’ll cover yoga studio etiquette. Questions and discussion are encouraged! If you’ve ever been curious about visiting a studio or starting a yoga practice, but are a little nervous or hesitant to get going, then this class is for you. And it's free! (Level 0)

Kids Yoga -- Mini yogis ages 9-12 are invited to unwind, de-stress, and explore bodily self-awareness while moving through gentle, mindful, and engaging yoga postures. This class is a great way to wrap up a long school day, and will help your child restore calm and balance in their system. Kids will learn basic foundational yoga postures and calming breathing techniques, as well as mindful movement. (Level 0)

Meditation and Mindfulness -- Studies have shown that a regular meditation and mindfulness practice has many benefits, including decreased stress and anxiety levels, better moods, improved performance and cognition, a stronger immune system, better sleep, and so much more. Whether you’re new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll find our guided exercises to be comfortable and approachable. Take a few moments of your day to check in with your body, connect with your heart, and nurture your soul. (Level 0)

Peak Pose -- In this class, the instructor will pick a “goal pose” as the focus. Using both verbal and physical instruction, the teacher will help students safely work toward their personal fullest expression of that pose. This class offers a deeper understanding of the mechanics and anatomy of specific postures, while still offering a full-body workout. Instructors will use props and other modifications to help you find the perfect posture for your body and abilities. (Levels 2, 3)

Power Flow -- Be prepared to increase your heart rate and sweat! This flow class features a faster pace, intense holds, and powerful, strength-building movements. Power Flow will challenge both your body and mind. If you are looking to grow further in both the physical and mental practice of yoga, then this class is for you. (Levels 2, 3)

Restorative -- This class is designed to help you feel complete relaxation and ease. There is no focus on strength-building or muscular “work.” Instead, you’ll be encouraged to “let it all go.” Low lighting and quiet music allow your senses to unwind, along with your body. If you need stress reduction, quiet, and stillness in your life, then this is the class for you. (Levels 0, 1, 2, 3)

Slow Flow -- In this class, you’ll move easily in a manner designed to release tight muscles and increase strength and focus. The slower pace is ideal for those who enjoy more time to develop a deeper breath/mind/body connection. (Levels 1, 2, 3)

Stretch -- This class focuses on deeply stretching and lengthening muscles all over your body. Stretching increases flexibility, circulation, and range of motion, while reducing tension and preventing injuries. This class is highly recommended for athletes, gym junkies, those who have to sit or stand all day, or anyone dealing with tightness, muscle fatigue, or aches and pains. (Levels 1, 2, 3)

Teen Yoga -- Yoga is a great opportunity for teens to gather stability during a season of life that is full of change. In this class for students ages 13-17, you will focus on basic yoga foundations that will encourage body awareness, self-confidence, and expression, as well as breathing techniques that will cultivate a sense of self-empowerment and focus. No previous yoga experience is required. (Levels 1, 2, 3)

Vinyasa Flow -- The focus of this class is linking breath with movement as you flow through a balanced, whole-body practice. This class offers a variety of movements and poses within a familiar format, so you can challenge yourself in new ways, while still having time to go deeper into your existing practice. (Levels 1, 2, 3)

Weekend Vibes --
Come celebrate Saturdays with us as we breathe, flow, and play together. This all-levels Vinyasa class features energizing movements, great music, and most importantly, lots of fun, laughter, and lightness! You'll leave feeling invigorated, motivated, and ready for whatever the weekend brings. This class is taught by a rotating group of teachers. (Levels 1, 2, 3)

Yin Yoga -- This class features less movement, and instead involves holding fewer poses for longer periods of time. When you hold poses longer, you get out of the “muscle work,” and start stretching and lengthening your connective tissues instead. Benefits include a release of muscular adhesions and an increased range of motion. Yin is the perfect counterpoint to an athletic lifestyle. Although this is a more passive class, it may still be considered intense at times, as it challenges you both mentally and physically. (Levels 1, 2, 3)

Yoga for Mobility -- This class focuses on movement and breathing techniques designed to strengthen the body and make daily activities easier and more enjoyable. This class is designed for anyone who might have mobility issues caused by injury, medical conditions, or the aging process. Students will reap the benefits as they restore and maintain flexibility, stability, and range of motion. And beyond that, they will benefit from the camaraderie of a supportive, safe, and caring environment. (Level 0)
